What is involved?
This 30-day naturopathic program uses acupuncture, homeopathics, and lifestyle counselling to support you in the quitting process. The initial visit is 60 minutes long, during which your general health history and a physical exam are obtained, and the full program and homework are reviewed. Once a quitting day is decided upon, acupuncture treatments begin; treatments are given the day before, day of, and day after “Quit Day”. Acupuncture treatments continue once a week for a total of 3 more weeks. Homeopathic remedies are used along with the acupuncture, and are taken daily, beginning "Quit Day".

How much does it cost?
The total 30-day program, including the initial visit, 6 acupuncture sessions, and 5 homeopathic remedies is $420 (plus GST.) Naturopathic treatments are covered by most extended health benefits; ask your insurer about your coverage. You can receive a 15% discount on your acupuncture sessions if you prepay with your first visit.

How does it work?
The combination of acupuncture and homeopathic remedies is very effective at reducing or eliminating any physical withdrawal symptoms, while increasing motivation, will power and reducing anxiety and stress. Add to this your positive attitude, a strong desire to quit, lifestyle strategies and counselling and you have a winning combination to help you quit for good.

How is it different from other methods of quitting?
You may have tried other methods before, such as the nicotine patch, Zyban, or "quitting cold turkey". Our program is different because it supports your body naturally, by relieving the symptoms of withdrawal, irritability or anxiety without drugs or medications. Your natural vitality and healing are supported, and your motivation increased. There are no adverse side effects from the treatments, and they do not interact with any medications you may be taking.
